January 29, 2021 - Re-coravined my bottle from months ago, tonight. Don't know if it's been the slow ox of the last few months or if it's just in a great place, but it is now in a great place.....regal nose on the pour......sweet perfume, rose petal and graphite. On the palate here is beautiful red fruit, cassis, kirsch anything and everything that presents a saturated fruit to the back of the tongue! There is regal winemaking here by Sam Kaplan. The acidity is blending in nicely and the tannins are evolving. There is beautiful sweet tobacco and a hint of vanilla. Verging on a 97+ right now.....Really nice!

1/30/21, 5:51 AM - Sometimes that micro-ox from the coravin softens it just perfectly!! This sounds like a nice one. Love the NVD’s (thanks to you PE) but have never tried the estate.

1/30/21, 6:48 AM - Not sure if there was any slow ox with this thin vintage needle and the new cork. I think this '16 is maybe waking up! I'll have to save you some!
