  December 25, 2008 - Purchased on sale for $39.99. Classic California Chardonnay on the nose, sporting an enticing bouquet of ripe pear and mandarin orange, as well as a decent amount of new oak adding vanilla scents to the mix. Much different on the palate, as the wine carries a distinct flint and stony edge, almost bitter, but by no means a distraction. Moderate acidity. Lengthy finish imparts a rich touch on the tongue, completing the arc to full circle. Definitely one to consume on the young side.
