February 6, 2021 - The nose gives you the first indication that this wine is fruit forward, but in a good way. Cassis and vanilla, primarily. A delicate sweetness to it. The palate confirms it. I would not call this a fruit bomb by any means, but it's the first reaction I had taking an initial sip. The blackberry is pronounced as is cherry and vanilla. A trio that works really well together. More subtle appearances of mocha, maybe some raspberry. The structure is good, not mind blowing. Solid tannins and acidity, but not that which suggests to me that this will go the long haul. Beautiful finish of moderate length. As the glass remained out, I sensed that the wine settled down a bit a reflected a bit more maturity, if that makes sense.
