Community Tasting Note

February 26, 2021 - Decanted 1 hour, fair bit of sediment. Cloudy brick color. Sappy red fruit, raspberry, strawberry. Some cola, baking spice and earthy notes. I did get the same effervescence mentioned below, but it blew off after an hour. Nicely aged classic Pinot.

3/1/21, 6:04 PM - did you buy this from the recent library release?

3/1/21, 6:43 PM - Yes, this was from the library release, so good provenance. I will say I’ve bought aged PGC from other sources and found them to be pretty robust, even one that had clear signs of seepage (to be clear that one was NOT from the winery).

3/1/21, 7:02 PM - so glad! I just bought a bottle of it from the library as well. thanks for the decant note too!

3/1/21, 8:05 PM - Decanting definitely helped, and it was still going strong late in the evening. So no worries about the wine fading after opening. I bought a mixed case from the library release, looking forward to them. Cheers!
