  February 28, 2021 - In the last few days, I have enjoyed 3 chardonnays-Black Kite Gap's Crown, Evening Land Source and this Heintz. All needed a 30 minute+ decant. Each is a beautifully made, distinctive wine. Pale Gold color and density, obvious oak influence. Powerful Chard nose with lemon, peach, and apple, white flowers, nice touch of vanilla oak. High acidity balances the powerful tree fruit flavors with nutmeg spice and some hazelnut. Somewhat taut mouthfeel which might ad weight with age. Nicely balanced, long finish.
