  December 30, 2008 - Very dark, almost black purple. Aroma was quite strong, at first, and settled to a nice, pungent dark fruit warmth. Taste did likewise, sharp at first sip, then opened to cherry, but still with a drier mouth feel. We had this as a sipper, and would try it again, but with food.
