March 16, 2021 - Oh wow...right up my alley and still going strong after 20 years. Has a little funk on the nose with red/black cheery and cassis up front. Mostly, though, it has given way to the tertiary notes of leather, tar, earth, and dark chocolate. Still has great structure and balance to the wine with dusty tannins and a wonderful long finish. Great now but can easily go another 5-10 years.
