March 31, 2021 - I have a thing for F. Cotat's Sancerres so have been looking forward to trying the rose - did not disappoint. No glu-glu plonk here! Fairly firm mineral backbone, no evident residual sweetness and a hard to describe flavour that radiated around my mouth. Think it has just displaced Clos Cibonne Tibouran as my favourite rose to date. Drank with a couple of habitual rose drinkers & they were mighty impressed too, so unlike the Clos Cibonne seems to have broad appeal. Improved n the glass - so I would guess if not drinking at peak now there may still be a bit of room for improvement. Vina Tondiona Rosada GR 2010 next. Does anyone on here have any other suggestions for interesting, quality roses ?
Lovely, lovely, wine
Definitely still good in 2021 - maybe drink to 2023 ? (but I have no experience, so could be less or much more)734 views
