April 3, 2021 - really delicious wine that I kept coming back to despite there being some other really nice wines on the table with it. KeithAkers note, as always, is on the money. the only points I would add: we double decanted this wine about 2.5 hours before serving and the cherry exploded when decanting but ws much more subdued on initial notes in the glass. it was a little grumpy when first poured but REALLY opened up into the floral minerality others noted after about another hour as we followed it in the glass. exactly what I want from Baroli starting to move out of that initial primary phase: deep cherries, rose petals, freshness to go well with food, but starting to turn pure minerality into leather and earth tones. I get the feeling this bottle is just moving into a great drinking window, but also that it will be there for a while from here.
