  April 5, 2021 - Solid 96, maybe 97! Ready to go. This one had about a 30-minute decant, which probably did help to wake it up. Black cherry, and a ton of it. absolutely no sign of decline like you are seeing with some of the 2008 vintage. Lots of floral perfume, herbs, baking spices. Very well integrated. Soft oak tannin finish. An incredible wine that went exceptionally well with barbecue over the Easter holiday.I would say this one is at peak. If you have these, it is time to start opening them up and enjoying them. It is an amazing wine right now.

  4/5/21, 9:08 AM - It's one of those ones that you did expect to like, but when you opened it, did a double take, then put it behind the counter and opened up something else for the other people that you knew weren't as wine savvy as you :-)
