  April 24, 2021 - First, I don't have a lot of experience with Rioja. Opened in the morning and sampled: translucent deep red color, with some orange/brick mixed in, dark fruit flavor, with mouth puckering acidity.
  
  Then, slow-oxed for 10+ hours. Everything came together very well. Plum and blackberry with some cocoa powder and smoke. The tannins were still teeth-staining when swirled around in the mouth, but everything was really nicely integrated.
  
  Drinking nicely now with a long slow-ox, but I will tuck anotehr bottle away in the cellar for 5-10 years to see what develops.
