April 30, 2021 - PnP and drank over two days. Never had this before and by my standards, this is a very classy wine! Dark, translucent with long legs. On the nose; classic pinot noir with a hint of smoky BBQ sauce as the main characteristic. More Burgundy than California style with medium-light body, medium acidity, silky tannins and very elegant structure (feel like I’m describing my dream date almost…). Nice red fruit complemented by a hint of forest floor and truffles and a light floral quality on the palate. Medium- long aftertaste. Interestingly, I didn’t feel the 14.2% alcohol at all. Great now, but I think this would be even better in 3+ years so will be holding on to the rest of my bottles until then - if I can resist.
