Suave and rich on the nose that does not betray its age. Scents of cassis, ripe dark cherries, muddled marionberry, Framboise, floral pastilles, fresh pastry, cardamom, suede, velvety herbs, cured tobacco and vanilla crème.
The palate shows richness, opulence and freshness; supple, velvety and refined. Berry tinged acidity provides structure along with smooth, plush tannins. Mid-palate density is impressive and balanced. Every component of this wine is in its place and balanced with the others. Flavors wrap the palate in notes of deep plum, marionberry, cassis and Framboise that intermingle with notes of violet pastilles, suede, velour, vanilla crème, exotic spice, herbs, mocha and sweet tobacco. Open and giving through the finish that is in the peak of its youth.1,403 views
