    May 17, 2021 - tasted @winery;

    Ah yes. there it is. WOT-tasting. Great balance, great acidity with long finish. I was expecting 2018 MH to require several more years of aging, and likely will improve few points, but i think this is good to go with 2-3 hour decant right now.

    5/17/21, 2:50 PM - I am curious to see how this compares with B cellar's MH in few years

    5/17/21, 3:11 PM - Won, I still cannot find any ratings for either of these MHoppers. I have been given excuses by each winery as to why they don't have them posted anywhere. This was such a great vintage, I feel bad that some winemakers may have not done it justice.....I am holding out hope that the '18s will all get immensely better in 6-12 more months. Remember the '03 in BDX were panned by everyone and they have turned out beautifully 18 years later!

    5/18/21, 3:21 AM - Thanks is for this. Normally one of my favorites, I have been reluctant to open because I haven’t loved my 2018 experiences so far. Now I feel better for sticking up on a few of these!

    on side note, Sequoia Grove's Tonella Cab was very reminescant to B cellar's Star vineyard cab. Maybe I shouldn't be too surprised since they source from vineyard adjacent to Star's

    5/18/21, 8:33 AM - Nice to know about the Sequoia Grove, Won.....I was not aware. I used to drink them 10 years ago but got away from them after a few down years. Maybe I need to revisit them?

    5/18/21, 8:47 AM - they are not as fancy tasting as b cellars, but food was amazing. You probably know Oscar from Beau Vigne days, he works there now. Wines are more balanced like old world than typical Napa. Cab Franc was better than many of their cab Sauv offering, except for the Tonella.
