    May 14, 2021 - Near opaque
Charming nose – has a plumpness, super lift and elegance. Very pure and fresh black raspberry, dark cherry, a clean-cut mineral vein.

More cherry on the palate, plenty of structure, a chalky grip, ripe tannins. Good density, super dark cherry intensity, spicy and floral, long and mineral.

5/18/21, 3:11 PM - Great info as always- question as I probably am a more modern enthusiast, what did you find lacking on this one overall? Too thin or too rich/full for your palate? Appreciate all of your insight as all of the wines are being offered in real time :) thank you for your buying help as I look towards the more ‘rich’ full opulent wines as I am a foolish American :)

5/19/21, 1:14 AM - I'm not sure why i underscored it... clearly a good wine, and I have some 2011 in my cellar. Texturally lovely and very neat, I guess it just didn't really express itself. I didn't get any great complexity from it, and this was alongside some more modest wines. I think I wanted it to say more, show some personality.

Surely in time, like many good Saint-Emilion 2020s, it will spread its wings, but sometimes one (I) can't get over the price of certain things... you try not to let it sway you! I've probably underscored it tbh.

5/20/21, 2:41 AM - Yeah. No qualms of ability to cellar, and i'm sure it will show more personality with a little development.

4/17/24, 2:21 PM - Thanks for the helpful TN and comments follow-up. I hear you on price, but with a handful of bottles on close-out here in the U.S. at $150 including tax ~equiv. 120 GPB, duty & VAT inclusive, I think I'll bite!

    4/18/24, 7:18 AM - Anhelo, LiteItOnFire,
wine-searcher.com has completed it's daily scrape and updated to reflect the sale price. See here*: https://www.wine-searcher.com/find/l+if+st+emilion+bordeaux+france/2020/usa-ca?Xsort_order=p

There were six bottles available. I purchased two, so four remain.

    * Not trying to be coy, but I generally don't document specific price + store identity data on CT when it comes to close-out deals.
