May 18, 2021 - Not my style of wine price taken into account. I know it is a 100p wine, but it does not change my opinion. Much too heavy and way too much oak (cedar). Will definitely change after many years in the cellar, but I doubt enough for my taste. Rating based on my preferences and performance right now.

5/30/21, 8:29 AM - Hi KIM G, I’m a fan of Vérité, I have enjoyed 2 phenomenal bottles in the past 2-3 weeks and many more in the recent years. In my opinion this wine should be going through a sleepy face, you probably know more than me about wine but this theory of “sleepy faces” is not factually proven (yet) and I’m a believer of it. IMO most California wines, in particular the Cabernet dominants go into this “sleepy face” around year 7-10, and 2013 been such a big-tannic vintage I will presume it will take longer than normal to really opens up. So I would not touch any ’13 Cali Cab until 2025+. Cheers!

And I do like sleepy face better so I might just start calling it that lol 🥱😴

PS: I do love Cali '13 but they still have a way to go... I have over a 100 of those in my cellar so I'll be in luck after the "sleepy face" is over!!!

I know what you mean on the ‘13’s. The problem I have with them is that some are now peaking while others are still sleeping and it is a challenge to get it just right. ‘18 seems to be the same!!!
