June 12, 2021 - I find this interesting as this tasting was different than one I had a year ago for the same wine.
The wine was deep purple at the core and med garnet at the rim. The Viscosity was high and the alcohol was 14.8 %. The wine was clear but had significant sediment
On the nose was a bouquet of forest floor, dark cherry, anise, prunes and baking spice. It was intense.
On the palate I tasted was overripe cherry, earthy, prunes. pipe tobacco .
The wine was dry with a long finish.
The tannins, alcohol and acid were medium.This was incredibly well balanced and very smooth and lucious like a deep sensual kiss. This is a drink now wine although I will keep the few bottles I have left and try them year after year.
I had this paired with a Charcuterie platter ...good times!!1,293 views
