  January 18, 2009 - Strong cherry and leather on the nose. Opens well without decanting. Has classic Barbaresco feel on the pallate. Dark cherry persists throughout with a pleasent ceder edge to it. A bit tannic on the finish, but they have mellowed enough at this age not to detract. Very solid, but not as strong as the 2000 Masseria.
