  July 23, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – Champagne and Burgundy (Blacksalt, Washington DC): Extremely fresh example showing perfectly pure white fruit with a hint of yellow, fresh lemon, candied lemon peel, pear, granny smith, sweet spice, rain water, honey and crushed rocks. Incredibly elegant, very finely layered pure white fruit, airy and beautifully detailed, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral and a long perfectly ripe white fruit driven finish with honey and white flower at the end. This is the perfect expression of the 08 DP, i.e. so elegant and pure yet with incredibly energy.
