July 31, 2021 - Didn’t have time to decant but wanted a great glass of wine and an excuse to use my new purchased Plum wine dispenser. Tasted at PnP while cooking and then let another glass decant for an hour. First off love my new toy that 100% don’t need but… do I need $250 VHR wine, no anywhoo

Wine is not showing as well as it did last year nor as well as recent reviewers but perhaps it’s the shorter decant or the recent Bordeaux tastings- regardless it’s a beautiful wine. Hold next bottle for another year.

City- I like the way you think.

    WBW- thank you!

....if Lite pours a glass at breakfast, it WILL more than likely be his breakfast!

8/1/21, 7:00 AM - Mark…or you can get an iSommelier (by iFavine) and the 4-5 hrs can be 4-5 min! How much counter space you got left over there for more wine gadgets Lite?

  • Mark1npt commented:

8/1/21, 7:12 AM - CS...I bought a similar concept aging device off Kickstarter a few years back, but only played with it a few times. I need to get it out and try it again! It vibrates the entire bottle of wine for 5 min and supposedly ages it an hour or two.

8/1/21, 7:19 AM - I’m probably going to pull the trigger on the iSomm and will report back. The 90% pure oxygen infusion seems effective and there are too many times we get together and realize a wine probably needed 2-3 hrs more decant time and the wine isn’t as good as it could be. If I can make that 2-3 min and soften the tannins, etc….it will be worth it’s weight in gold.

8/1/21, 8:51 AM - Mark- yep no way I would not want to taste throughout the day!

Can/Mark- Breville makes one as well which is the one my buddy has. For sure take a look at both and see what you think (and price). Love to hear about the experiments!

8/1/21, 9:26 AM - I almost pulled a 16 but wanted something to drink that wouldn't need a week to open up! Thanks for diving in Lite and letting us know that was the right choice. I'm guessing 16 is still in slumber.

8/1/21, 11:48 AM - Lite.....every time I pull a BDX on a Sunday morning, decanting at noon and hoping to eat by 6 or 7 pm, I wonder if there'll be any wine left for dinner...
