August 12, 2021 - The latent power in the wine was quite something. Burghound said it could be a 50 year wine and there was nothing to doubt that. All kinds of cherries and berries, spices, caramel and mushroom/forest floor/truffle/earth. Amazing structure and balance and beautiful drinking.

10/13/21, 1:54 AM - Yep did decant for an hour or two, and drunk over two more, but honestly another few hours decant would have done it some good.
It was amazing having such a memorable wine on such a special occasion, but I’d honestly hold off for at least another five years if I had another bottle to allow the wine to soften further and develop some further complexity. It will be stunning. -
