  August 6, 2021 - I like this producer and this is normally a worthy splurge, but this bottle did not have the depth and complexity I expect from Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva Especial. This was decanted only briefly at a restaurant before drinking, but others report longer decants did not help. It is possible the wine is in a "dumb phase" and it is relatively young. If I had a bottle, I would hold off opening until at least 2024 so it has a chance to develop some tertiary character.
