August 16, 2021 - Had at Elway's in Denver for a friend's "Bender in Denver" Bachelor party. Paired with a Petite Fillet. This was open for business. I wonder how well those devices that pour for restaurants do for the wine and if they degrade the wine at all. In any case, my glass was singing. Was it transcendent? Not even close, but went very well with the steak I had. Red fruits galore. This wine carried a soft, feminine feel to it. I almost wanted to give this thing a hug and embrace its motherly like feel. I have a love hate relationship thing with Opus One though. It can be good and it can also be the worst value wine in Napa Valley. Would I buy this for $350? Meh...For $200? Yup!

8/23/21, 4:02 PM - BSU- opus for me can’t deliver of the $350 as it relates to the competition options below or above but yet I am always excited to pop the cork on these… same with Insignia… I am not smart enough to stop opening but I have stopped buying any more of those two which is a good first step!
