August 18, 2021 - Opened 3 hours. Color is deep garnet. On the nose: Pepper, sour cherry lambic funk, beef blood, olives, cassis, violets. On the palate: Cherry lambic, violets, cassis, pepper, plum and blood. This is just fantastic. I think Baron’s wines are fabulous. I drink a lot of Cote Rotie, Hermitage and Cornas and the Cayuse and Horsepower wines are the closest I’ve found in the US. They are to be cherished.
