August 29, 2021 - A bit of a puzzling wine. Very structured and muscular. It took everyone to Italy given the roasted herbs, meaty aromas, and not much fruits on the palate or nose. This was in the decanter for about 6 hours and then finally for the last couple of pours, it opened up to a more elegant Burgundian form. Enjoyable wine but not a Burgundian experience in any sense of the word. The main question becomes if Laurent's 2002 are ready?
