Community Tasting Note

  • Roentgen Ray Does not like this wine: 87 points

September 2, 2021 - Purchased on release, and cellared at 55-60 degrees since then.
The cork was soft, slightly brittle, and streaked to the top in one area.
    The color was brickish red.
At first, the aroma hits you with a tidal wave of oyster shells and minerality and some deeply buried Vosne spice.
After taking a breath, it shows some strawberry.
The acidity was strong a bit overpowering.
The tannins were grippy and prickly.
    Pretty average.
This is a wine to be paired with food, as is the tradition in this region.
