Where the 04 tasted tired, frustrating, stewed, and was one of those bottles that made me question the viability of grenache in chateauneuf, this wine was far more digestible and balanced, despite its size. I will concur with other TNs that it didn’t register as a delightful drink but my expectations weren’t outlandish to begin with. This has been a favourite chateauneuf bottling of mine for years but am certainly out of the honeymoon phase with this village.
