  September 20, 2021 - Confession - I really like this wine in most vintages (though I was less enamored of the 2015). Under screw cap (bless you), note made after about 2 hours decanted. Rated 'Excellent' on the Cellar Tracker scale.
  
  Colour is medium deep ruby, quite bright.
  
  Nose is of Cherry, hint of plum, some dried herbs and some forest floor. Fantastic.
  
  In the mouth the wine is intense and powerful, yet still elegant. This is a wonderful textural experience. the flavours are as per the nose and the fresh acidity promises long life. Tannins are firm and plentiful but ripe. By Jove this is good! It will be even better in about 5 years as it beds down. I have little doubt it will develop and prosper over many years beyond that.
