  February 6, 2009 - Decanted about a half hour.
  This wine is a dark purple and very foamy around the edges. Lots of dissolved gas is creating many bubbles clinging to the sides of the glass.
  Aromas of dark red berries, some alcohol and still seems fresh.
  Moderate tannic structure, feels pretty even overall. Flavors are of dark red berries, like cooked strawberries in a strawberry pie without the added sugar sweetness. The mouthfeel is medium-dry and somewhat salty. Also has a slight meatiness, like cooked bacon.
  I think this wine is what it is and won't be getting any better in the cellar.
