  November 9, 2021 - This might be no more than 89. I know I'm splitting hairs. But, I gave it a point for name recognition. That being said, it's no QPR wine. Decanted for 2-3 hours prior to a slight chilly November afternoon picnic with a new friend, cheese, bread, apple. Wish I had tasted it right out of the chute, but alas, I didn't. Completely agree with the lively acidity. Dark purple color. Raspberry and black raspberry fruits. I didn't get spiciness. More 4 square to me. Haven't really bought or consumed zinc in a while, but have a few more recent Ridges to try. Used to be my favorite zin producer. Nothing else surpassed it, but gravitated to Rhones and Pinots for a number of years. But Autumn speaks to me of zins...
