November 11, 2021 - Opened and decanted by HMC....probably the best I have ever tasted for a Sojourn cab! In a really good spot right now with sweet, dark fruit, rounded tannins and balanced acidity. Very nice, Jimbo!

This has put on weight and the fruit density has picked up considerably. It's in a really good place! Just not sure how long HMC had it in the decanter. I suspect at most an hour and we enjoyed it over 2-3.

11/14/21, 7:57 AM - I really like these Sojourn G3’s. I had one at a steakhouse years ago before you PE’d me on the Pinot’s and have since been buying a few with my PN order

11/14/21, 8:14 AM - Having steak tonight and have one of these left should I open it??? Was also thinking of a '17 W&M Schifflett. Decisions, decisions...

11/14/21, 10:36 AM - DQ, it's a solid qpr buy and if I'd known they would improve like this with a few years' time, I would have kept mine longer!

11/14/21, 10:37 AM - DB, I would...it's in a good place now with a 1-2 hour decant.....but that's just me. I was impressed at how much weight this had put on, in bottle over time. Very flavorful dark fruit, too.

11/15/21, 4:03 AM - I realize now I only have ‘18s left. They will definitely need a few years

  • Mark1npt commented:

11/15/21, 5:15 AM - Yeah, I don't even have '18s......and I blew through all my '15s and '16s of this long ago. Only have their pinots left.
