November 19, 2021 - Pale ruby.
Nose: raspberry pates des fruits, rhubarb, light white spice, cherry melange.
Mouth: Silken notes of lifted sweet cherry and black raspberry align themselves to a torrent of kirsch that rings out like a bell, studded with rose petal notes. Finishes endlessly on that ribbon of kirsch, lingering as tones of cherry jolly rancher, light nutmeg, and saline mineral check in.
Overall: Very red in profile, and slightly candied in feel, this is both a crowdpleaser and a bit of a showstopper at $30. Length is here, but complexity is missing somewhat. Leans heavily on a lot of very similar flavors, but the mouthfeel is fabulous and punches far above its price point. Drink now - 2028.
