November 28, 2021 - Finishing up the last couple of ounces from last night’s bottle, which sat open overnight. Notes of burnt embers, red and black fruit and something decidedly floral in nature; rather feminine and pretty. There’s something herbal, perhaps along the lines of rosemary, lurking in the background. Flavors of macerated red berry fruit, black currant, herb, iron and tobacco. Long finish. Confirms that this needs a lot more than two hours. Check back in 2030+. 96 for Domino, 97 for me.

1/26/22, 5:35 PM - Nice note! I drank my bottle (thanks for letting me piggy back on your Futures btw) back in 2019. I was worried after seeing my 2007s Rhones turn after being passively cellared too long. This was pretty bomb proof though. Your note brings me back and spot on from how I remember it. Regarding something herbal, I remember this vibrant, penetrating sage note. It was an amazing wine that I wish I would have cellared for a few more years. Take care, my friend.

1/31/22, 7:41 PM - Thanks for the note. It’s tempting me to crack open a bottle - I bought two cases when it was released. Your note on opening and decanting times are particularly helpful
