December 13, 2021 - Friends over for dinner and wine (Strasbourg, France): Not too long ago, 86 was a decent score, but what can a wine critic do and adopt to the times? As such, this score denotes a somewhat boring wine, but not without merit. It suffered coming on the heels of the excellent Soave, enjoyed just before - a bottle that is empty this morning. But this Arneis is half full. Giving it another chance today: pleasing aromas of white stone fruit, certainly. The attack is broad. And the wine supple, with lowish acidity, as compared to the Soave. And a creamy texture pleases. But the finish just drops off too quickly, yielding a less than exciting score. Furthermore, the relative low acidity means that you should serve it rather chilled...
