December 15, 2021 - Aside from showing so much vitality, still, I can’t imagine this being any better with tons of campfire smoke/peat, cured meats, beet root impressions with sous bois complexity developing ever minute in the glass. This is dense with an almost French onion soup quality on the nose and palate that has the power but energy (acidity) of the vintage. Quite “Grand Vin” today and shows the classic autumn magic that is begging for boeuf bourguignon or honestly, you can just drink this on its own and enjoy it’s majesty. Grand Cru showing. Absolutely no rush on this. 94-95.
