Community Tasting Note

  • Brix Does not like this wine:

December 22, 2021 - This blend of equal parts merlot, sangiovese, syrah, and petite verdot somehow manages to effectively suppress the varietal characteristics that define each of its components. The result is a perfectly innocuous red wine with no character at all.

My wife put it best: she declared that if this were the $12 "house red" at a restaurant she would not complain, because honestly, what's to complain about?

This wine is very inoffensive, but sadly, that's the best thing I can say about it.

    3/2/22, 12:28 AM - ☝️what you just said.
I blended this plain Jane with a rustic Yakima Valley close out priced bottle from Grocery Outlet no less and Voilà : the mix became distinctive & actually drinkable

3/7/22, 9:42 AM - Dang - you and your wife are spot on with my review of this wine. I couldn't have said it any better (and in fact probably did not in my Note :-) ). I would certainly drink it again if offered, but would not buy it - Cheers!
