  March 1, 2009 - Bright reddish purple, clear in glass. Hot nose of black pepper, red fruit, and hint of earth. Attack of heat, black pepper, with juicy red fruit and nice acidity on the back end. Slightly harsh on the attack, but a smooth somewhat thin finish. Didn't seem to pair well with lasagna because of the spice and heat, but could see this work well with pork. I wouldn't purchase as just a sipping wine by itself, but not bad at the price point (C).
