  March 10, 2022 - Purchase on release direct from winery. Popped and poured and consumed over a couple hours during dinner. Pale gold in color reminiscent of dried straw bales. Complex nose of sour citrus peels, high toned floral notes, honeycomb and beeswax.
  
  Initially a bit tight but opened up considerably over the evening. Medium bodied tending toward heavy with a lanolin type mouth feel. White peaches, tropical fruits, lemon drops, and an interesting streak of acidity. The tropical fruit, citrus peel and floral notes come through on the finish.
  
  An interesting contrast to the 2000 Chapoutier Ermitage Blanc Le Meal we had as a prelude to dinner. 94 points with a higher score possible in the future.
