March 21, 2022 - #233 - a very good "all around" Chardonnay. But - what the heck does that mean? To me - it means lightly oaked - there's some oak there - but it's not a oak or butter "bomb", nor does it taste like I licked the inside of the barrel. The nose is citrus-y with some light floral notes - makes me think "spring"! On the palette - medium EVERYTHING - medium body, medium citrus-y notes, a hint of floral, a bit of oak, and a nice acidity. Again, preferred around 55-60 degrees as it seems to open up with some room temp warmth... Had it with chicken scaloppine but would pair well with MANY many chicken/seafood/fish dishes - Or - as an aperitif...
