Community Tasting Note

  March 31, 2022 - Brought to tonight's tasting by James and best in the early going. Beautiful, aged Napa cab nose, regal cedar notes and slightly perfumed red fruit as well. However, as the night wears on over 3-4 hours, there is some devolving of this wine into a Madeira type nose and palate. Caramel, notes rise. It's good but not as good as in the early going. Pnp and drink these in the first hour if you want their best, IMO......maybe in the 95-96 range early, 92 late so a 94 on average overall.

  12/1/22, 6:35 AM - Thanks, Julian! I personally don't own any Hundred Acre, but I have a good friend who does, luckily! He brought a "Precious" to last night's tasting and it's even better than this bottle was!

  12/8/22, 5:02 AM - Julian...that's a very steep price for this wine. I would not pay that. My friend opened an '05 Hundred Acre 'Precious' for us 2 weeks ago and it was a much better wine, but also more expensive!
