May 15, 2022 - This is really an outstanding wine. Clarity and precision are the themes here. Colour, aroma and taste alike: A limpidity that stood out this evening, even with three other red burgundies at this or at Grand Cru level. There was no excess of anything, and nothing missing. I nursed a glass of it for hours, and it showed no sign of getting tired. Just very satisfying at all levels. 2005 keeps on giving. (I have deflated my scores to fit the original descriptors, but this is truly an outstanding wine.)
