May 16, 2022 - No rating this time as the wine seems to have shut down quite a bit. I tried my first glass after a 45 minute decant and it had not yet opened up. I then consumed this bottle over the next 3 hours and the wine did get better, but nowhere near the previous bottle I tried 5 months ago. The wine still had all of the earmarks of a great wine, it just didn’t stand out as much. Luckily I bought several bottles, but in my opinion now is the time to lay down this wine for several years.

5/16/22, 10:42 AM - I’m actually kicking myself for opening a second bottle, but my girlfriend just had a house contract accepted against 20 bidders and this was the wine I picked to celebrate. That’s how much l liked this wine last December. Fortunately I have almost a case to cellar.
