May 24, 2022 - The wine changes; not the exuberant cherries and the fruit driven taste as in its youth. At first I did not get sufficient compensation, but after 4 (really) days the last glass was nearly majestical; the cherries were riper, the taste more smooth, a hint of mint, soft spices, lovely bitters and very ripe tannins in a lasting aftertaste. My coonfidence was back with this glass.

5/24/22, 5:05 PM - Hello Franss, Just curious...when you say 4 days I assume it was refrigerated but was it sealed with either a Coravin or a Vacu vin?
Also, if you have another bottle, how much longer, if at all, would you give it? The few Gidondas I've had from 2016, St. Damien Les Souteyrades and St. Damien La Louisiane are drinking realy well right now but just wondering how much different CDPs may be.
    Thanks

Simply four days in the fridge with only the cork. It is maybe not representative to compare my tasting note only with your Gigindas tasting notes. One thing for sure, 2016 is excellent in the Southern Rhône.
Have fun with your 2016 Southern Rhône wines.

5/28/22, 8:52 AM - The choice is too big to have lots of bottles of one wine.
I'am interested in your coming tasting notes☺
