Community Tasting Note

June 25, 2022 - Garnet. Raisinoid. Drinks like a baby Barolo. High acid, grippy tannins on the taste. Long finish. Starting to approach these. Full bodied, long finish. Never decant.

I read your note (cuz I have some of these and trying to figure out timing), and immediately was curious about why you said "never decant"... went to write this not to ask you and funny enough saw I had already asked the question of you... maybe you just missed it, I would REALLY appreciate your view on that issue if u have time... thanks in advance

12/29/23, 3:55 PM - Hey Woodie: The Doctors are purists about decanting and prefer to let the wine evolve in the glass. We've protected the wine from unnecessary exposure to the elements and prefer to allow the individual to experience the wine as they like. Personal preference for sure...

12/30/23, 11:41 AM - got it... thanks for the feedback... I try each wine immediately after pouring in the decanter, so can compare... maybe its a style preference difference, but only rarely find that I like the "pnp" taste better than the decanted version... but will admit there are times the wine fades and flops (tho rare)... to each his own for sure, I always tell my friends drink whatever / however you like it best
