Community Tasting Note

June 28, 2022 - Not as great as I hoped but still a very nice wine in its own right. Was most dynamic right out of the bottle. As it got air, the wine became much more mellow, lost energy and the finish got a bit soft. Very tasty but not close to a Family Reserve I had a few nights prior.

6/28/22, 2:11 PM - I can’t keep up with all your notes recently! Must be some serious partying going on in your neighborhood. Curious as to why you popped this so young. I have noticed these drink well at the five year mark or so, but appreciate the note.

6/28/22, 3:31 PM - Thanks for the note, Andy.....I'm holding a few of these. I've also noted many of these big cabs fade or regress with too much air. Lately, I've been putting the cork back into the bottle until I'm ready to pour the next glass. I'll probably try one of these soon and then do as FB does, and then wait a few more years for the others. Cheers!

6/29/22, 8:00 AM - FB and Mark, sorry for the confusion but the bottle was actually a 2016 Bone Ash NOT a 2019! Agree that it seems like many latest vintages actually perform better without too much of a decant and putting back in the bottle helps keep it going strong.
