June 28, 2022 - Wow so this is Barolo! Who knew? Obviously everyone but me as I missed the cool kids juice while I was sitting in the sandbox drinking SumnyD. This was the first visit of the trip and was a real eye opener - these are some highly complex wines in front of me- even the cheap seats had tremendous range… was this a one off unicorn or is this the beginning of a fifth mortgage on my home. Only one way to find out!
What a wonderfully welcoming reception from Alex Sanchez, winemaker and family owner as he was beyond patient with my mind numbing ignorance (what is a grape like questions) and having to watch my facial expressions and emotions develop in ultra slow body like contortions as I tried to come to grips with how damn great Barolo and these wines are- and why didn’t I know this before literally getting no sleep plus 100% lost luggage (imagine what we looked like after 24 hours of travel in the same clothes we flew from SF in the day before).
Super fruity (in a great way), lite, good acid, low tannins, - (awesome BTG if any restaurant was smart enough to offer - although education to ignorant people like me would scoff at such a wine I knew literally zero about). Pizza, pasta or just because it’s Tuesday- yes please.1 person found this helpful 1,724 views

7/14/22, 9:30 AM - I just ordered the super pack of crayons from Amazon. They arrive tomorrow (prime member) and will begin the stick like figure illustrations.
On a more serious note- while these were impressions as we packed so much into the trip in a short period of time, if you don’t want any deeper thoughts, etc just ping me and happy to share.
