  March 29, 2009 - Day old leftovers from ews3 after the Great Grape tasting. The nose is where its at with this wine. Without reading about it beforehand, it was clearly a blend of Viognier and Roussanne. The Chardonnay was less obvious. Honeydew, honey, sugar and floral herbaceous notes on the nose. Very solid nose. Immediately reminded me of the d'Arenberg Hermit Crab on steroids. Good vanilla, lemon and brown sugar backs up the initial notes. A simpler palate. I thought the palate does not bring the goods as I expected after the nose. Everything sort of blends together but there is no further development. I'd like to see a bit more acidity. Good length on the finish.
