August 6, 2022 - Dark and dusky. I agree with many other reviewers who note a bit of funk amidst the fruit. Some complexity, but more muddy than identifiably discreet. Pleasant, and a good introduction to Clarendon (never had one of their wines before) but i understand other cuvees and vintages are better.

8/7/22, 7:39 PM - This on paper is not a great vintage and their Shiraz wines were not good. Try this over a few days and see the evolution. This is one of my top wines of the year for the money. Would not drink it on day 1 as it has plenty of life left.

You will also see my review of their 2010 Brookman which we opened along side this 2011 Sandown. There were several of us, so each bottle did its duty on the day. Cheers.
