Introduction

Incredible night with Mark, Mike and Chris. JP put together a great tasting menu of 7 courses. From gnocchi, to ravioli, pork ragu, seared duck breast, ribeyes, and ending with foie gras and cheese! An inredible night of decadance! Thanks guys

Flight 1 (1 note)

White - Sparkling
N.V. Tarlant Champagne Cuvée Louis France, Champagne
Earthy, mushroom, citrus and apple on the nose to start. Hazelnuts and marzipan showed lightly on palate with more light citrus. Very well balanced and in the end fun to drink.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

Red
1998 Bosquet des Papes Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Classique France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Châteauneuf-du-Pape
Nice deep color and clear with some sediment. Nose and palate of white pepper, light berry, Anise, clove, chocolate and vanilla. Strong tannins that slowly softened. Had with a rich pork ragu that seemed to help the youthfullness of this wine. Really quite awesome though I'd wait another 3 years or so to pop another.
Red
1998 Bonny Doon Vineyard Le Cigare Volant USA, California, Central Coast
Nose of raspberry and blackberry with light liqourice and anise. Rich on the palate with nice fruit and light pepper. Very new world in style though the mouvedre really helped to not let it become too fruity. Very nice though not much time left in it.

La Dame de Montrose 1996
3 Cape Ladies, South Africa

Flight 4 (0 notes)

CH Coustet, Barsac 1983
