Introduction
The Cali cab tasting is a yearly event and is usually one of the best tasting of the year at the schamburg binny's location. A great line-up of wines were poured. Kudos to Andre for putting together another great event.

Nice dark red coloring. Only had about a one ounce pour so limited notes here. Nice plums, casis, floral notes. Tannins we smooth, but the wine was holding back a bit. Got dark fruit and licorice. Not sure this bottle was showing it's best, wasn't decanted at all.

Dark purple in color. Just like the '09 caymus estate bottling this had a gorgeous nose of plums, mocha/coffee and a menthol component. Palate staining dark fruit with vanilla and chocolate. Tannins are well hidden behind the fruit. Nice smooth sexy finish.

Great dark almost purple coloring. What a seductive nose; sweet cherries, chocolate. On the palate this wine was silky smooth, tannins were there but well hidden by lush dark cherries, chocolate and a beautiful vanilla/cake icing flavor. Very port like. This is a wine I could drink by itself all night long. Simply sexy.
